Why do apps from the same company look worse on Android than on iPhone?
When I use an iPhone and an Android phone at the same time, I often find that apps from the same company look a lot different on these two platforms - the ones on Android usually look much worse.

For me this is pretty simple: the Android HMI itself looks not as nice as the iOS. Lots of the standard UI elements, be it the status bar, the keyboard or other objects, are pretty much uglier on Android. Using Android for me is similar to switching back to Windows while using the MacOS. Android is more techie in other words and not as refined.
